Quote of the Day

I start back on my post-vacation blogging to note that ol' Rummy hasn't changed a bit-

Q: Is the country [Iraq] closer to a civil war?

SEC. RUMSFELD: Oh, I don't know. You know, I thought about that last night, and just musing over the words, the phrase, and what constitutes it. If you think of our Civil War, this is really very different. If you think of civil wars in other countries, this is really quite different. There is - there is a good deal of violence in Baghdad and two or three other provinces, and yet in 14 other provinces there's very little violence or numbers of incidents. So it's a - it's a highly concentrated thing. It clearly is being stimulated by people who would like to have what could be characterized as a civil war and win it, but I'm not going to be the one to decide if, when or at all.

That's for the Decider to figure out, I guess.

Go back to sleep, Rummy. You can't do us any harm that way.

Good to see you back at it.

Wondering have you checked out The Bestest Blog and the new The Great Blog Experiment? They seem to have some success bringing traffic. However many people you have coming it's not enough. Check 'em out.

I've had a case of bloggus interruptous the past couple weeks...posting tonight for first time and getting everything buttoned by through Monday.

Wanted to ask if you mind my using the quote you have here?

Yes, feel free to use the quote. :)

I will definitely check out those sites... thanks!

I have some blogging planned later today; just been catching up at work since returning, so I haven't dived right back in. And with war in the Middle East, it's hard to know where to begin!
