For a truly interesting (disturbing?) sociological journey into the mind of the Democrats base, read the denizens of DailyKos comment on the death of four independent contractors torn apart and hung from a bridge in Fallujah with a mix of indifference and glee-

"Let the people see what war is like. This isn't an Xbox game. There are real repercussions to Bush's folly.

That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries. They aren't in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them."

Not that I agree with the sentiments of the Freepers, just sayin'

Hey, I never said the Kos commenters were a shining example of political discourse either. The two respective sites are each other's mirrors in many ways. Scary ways.

I say lock the Freepers and Kos-ites together in a room together for an hour and just let them go at it. And broadcast it on C-Span 3 as a documentary of modern political debate.

Chris Matthews will host.
